CBS said it was “purely a financial decision against a challenging backdrop in late night,” adding, “It is not related in any way to the show’s performance, content or other matters happening at Paramount.”

If the Show was MAKING MONEY, he would still be there.. Unless you Believe an Eeevill Corporation would Shut Down a Profit making part of the corporation.

I like how we can't trust anything CBS says until they something we want to be true.

We also can somehow trust CBS, until they say something we do not want to be true.

 And they aren't lying now?

My point is CBS was a bunch of liars, until they said Colbert was a financial decision in exclusivity, now they are honest.  That's convenient.

I don't think CBS will say anything that isn't in their best interests.

It could simply be there’s just not a big enough audience of liberals to watch that many late night political shows.

You’ve got three essentially identical political talk shows on at the same time. Plus remember that MSNBC and CNN have their late night shows as well so network TV and cable are all competing over the same group.

Conservatives don’t have any shows on network TV so Fox talk shows on cable have no competition.
