And why do you think I haven't?

I didn't say you haven't.  I just think its presumptuous to say he is not happy based off this thread.

And I have something to say, and you're not interested.

 I did not know that.

Then you are not here.

You are sitting somewhere in your mind thinking, and that gives a feeling of ‘I’ and that makes you unhappy.

I’m puzzled….  I would say I’m happier than the average person. I’m creative, I write articles for work, I write scripts and direct company YouTube videos that have hundred thousand views and I’m the main person in most of them. Every two years at our large work meeting with about 400 people in attendance, I usually organize a comedy skit. I laugh my tushy off at least once a day.

My point was the average standard of living in the United States is so far above so many other places in the world, it’s not even funny. Why so many people think we’re in a bad place is beyond me.

It would be very informative for all those in our country who have never been to areas that suffer from severe poverty, here and abroad, to go to see and experience. It’s a real jolt the first time you go through them, the faces, their eyes, trash, SMELLS.  It can be an assault on your senses.
It would be a good idea to have tv/internet run 10 second clips, of areas all over the world showing the plight of poverty for billions of folks, several times a day, just as a reminder to those who are unaware of how others have to live.

This would be a good addition to school grades 7-12, it would fit nicely in US History, since it’s a fact that poverty has always existed in human history, and always will.   I’m pretty sure Jesus said “you will always have the poor with you”.

I agree Lancer. I’ve been fortunate enough with my jobs to go to quite a few countries, away from the tourist areas and manufacturing facilities and you’re right, there’s very little comparison between poverty in the US and some of these places. No one starves to death in the US, it just doesn’t happen. Hell, one of the best phrases I ever read was; only in America is obesity a sign of poverty.

Ever since bringing youth along on some Haiti med-trips I have thought it should be a requirement for graduation from high school.  Seeing real poverty is incredibly eye opening for many kids.  This is an opinion.

This means I have Observed these activities and as such exist as part of my Observed Reality.  However I can not say all data about adolescent US citizen humans witnessing poverty in Haiti is accurate or not based off my Observations - instead I refer to the empirical evidence over my very limited personal experiences.   This should clarify that my intent is not to imply that personal Observations are not really real - but instead means that my Observed Reality is a poor qualifier for data or reference.

So, you don't believe your lyin' eyes. Got it. So, you're a fundy "Christian" ontologist.

Or maybe I think - "Any single instance of "observed reality" is suspect. There is simply no way you can know what you think you know about what you're seeing. There are too many variables. That's why statistics exist."

What are your "personal observations" on the $1.85/Gal gas prices? How do you justify 47's lies?

I didn't.  I never once said I agree with or support Trump's policies.  You just over react and think anyone that doesn't agree with you is a Trump supporter.  When I disagree with Conservative members they call me a Biden supporter.  I don't know why some of you connect your identity to the POTUS so much.

Also gas is averaging 4.493 where I can Observe it.  Looking down the street I can Observe $4.72 as the price.  My personal Observations are "really real", however they are not an analogue for the planet and as such are not valid qualifiers for data or reference.
