NOT in the last 50 years. Since Reagan, capitalism has steadily forced more people worldwide into poverty and starvation. Look at the past 20 years. China has become a world power by focusing on infrastructure, trade, and science.  The US has built bombs.  The US infrastructure is crumbling. China ALLOWS capitalism, with limits. They also execute CEOs that are caught in corruption schemes, or ones that try to influence the government--- something the US should look into.

And before you tell me to move to China, Let me say this: You don't move onto your neighbor's farm because it produces more than yours. You try to see what they're doing different from you to improve your own farm.
