bogs with WOT. Where to start?

Hi gents. My bike runs good and strong unless I really get on the throttle. Then it loses pull and sounds like it's bogging. Letting up on the throttle puts it back in good power. This is when everything is good and warmed up. Does that sound like it's too rich or starving? I'll try and pull the plug this weekend and post a pic.
It's been like this for a while, but I just don't open her up like that too often so haven't dug into the issue.
I cleaned the carb when I bought the bike in 2014. It had 2700 miles at the time in 6 years of life, so I figured gas may have sat in it at some point. Over 32K now. New air filter at 26K. New spark plug at 23.7K. Pretty sure it was NGK DPR8EA-9.
I'm in the Denver area so ride mostly at a mile high. I can't find my pics of the jets when I cleaned the carb so I don't know what size she has. I need to get up to the mountains and open it up there. Maybe it'll run even richer the higher I go with the lower O2 pressure?
My enrichment setting ("choke") also doesn't really bring the idle speed up as high as I would like during warm up (never on the side stand!) but does help it run smooth for the first few minutes when its cold. That's also been the general history and I just give it a little throttle for those first 30 seconds or so until I take off and ride gently for the rest of the warm up.

Has it been like this since you got the bike or did it develop the issue?
Check:
The diaphragm/slide isn't sticking.
The jets are installed in the correct locations. (The air jets at the top of the carb are larger than the fuel jets in the bottom. Did they get mixed up?)
The jets are all properly seated.
The float level is correct.
That fuel flows freely from the petcock.
For vacuum leaks.
Your jetting would have to be way off to cause a bog.
My guess is the slide or a big air leak causing a lean condition.
Good luck.

Sounds like “too rich” to me. Given you’re at higher altitude, try reducing the main jet 2 sizes. Do you have a stock exhaust and air intake box/filter?
Do you have the side cover installed on the air box? If so, you can try removing it to let more air in. This would be an easy test to see if it improves and costs nothing to try. That would be a simple fix, huh! (If it gets worse, you’ll know you went the wrong direction and the bike is too lean.)
The stock main jet is a #145. Assuming you have stock exhaust and intake and nobody has fiddled with the stock jetting, you might want to try a #140 main jet if removing the cover on the air box doesn’t get you where you want to be.
