Personally I'm not interested in outrageous amount of logistics and paperwork it would take. Converting the medical system alone will be a disaster.

Since Canada has a huge landmass of ten provinces and three territories, you would have to have ten, maybe eleven new states. Imagine all the squables abut US/imperial measurements and Canadian metric system.

Canada would be the 51st State, so all the provinces would be eliminated and consolidated into one single gigantic State since it is a proposal of 51st State and not 51st through 62nd States.

Metric wouldn't be allowed, Trump would impose tariffs on it.
