Two bikes with aluminum tanks , one is stock and the other is not. Love the look and never had a problem.

Buying overseas , make double sure it’s aluminum and it has a cap. I’ve seen descriptions with terms , chrome like , polished , chrome , aluminum and the tank that shows up is a steel chromed tank. Don’t get burned !

Polished aluminum tanks even if partially painted sets you apart. Shows you have great tastes. I’m sure everyone has heard me say it’s all about shapes and lines , colors add to it as a accent , but shapes and lines always remain. Polished aluminum tanks just add a level of sophistication that stands out against the billions of cookie cutter bikes out there.  With all that being said remember the word polish ,  you will find it annoying at first to keep it in spec , but in time it becomes a bit of a pleasure & part of your start up routine. Get used to riding with a soft polishing rag stuffed in your pocket !
