WTB Shot cylinder head

I have a porting job inn the works, one that could potentially transform the head into a doorstop.
It would be a shame to use a serviceable head for this experiment.
So I would like to buy one of those heads that have shot camshaft bearings, there should be many of those around.

If I had one, I’d gladly donate it to science.

I have what I think is a 98ish engine that imploded because of a failed cam chain tensioner, and it is all in parts (previous owner took it apart). But, it seems you are not in the USA and shipping costs would probably be ridiculous.

Shipping costs probably not prohibitively excessive.
I have sent you a PM

Yes, Armen, it does.
And thanks for the picture, which clearly shows that there is a thick wall casting between intake port and the inlet valvespring seat.
Quite unlike on the exhaust side where same surfaces are disastrously close.
This modification will not make a big difference to the ceiling, the long turn of the port, but it will possibly bring a big improvement to the short turn. Hopes are high.

That exhaust port sure looks nasty!!!!!! Huh

Lawn mower engines are made with better ports!

Yup. Pretty sucktacular. Not much you can do to straighten it out without breaking thru into the spring pocket.
I had a few ideas, but they all involve a lot of tricky welding and machining.

The good thing about the exhaust port is, that it is possible to increase the flow quite substantially. I managed to increase it from 140 CFM to 180 CFM by working the ports on the sides and on the floor.
I found it much harder to improve the flow of the inlet port. Mike had much more success in that area, but then he is a seasoned porter, I am just a newbie.
