Roddy, glad to hear you got it fixed.  Could you please do a reply to your original post so this nugget of gold is captured.  That way, there is a record of the solution so other members can benefit from your effort.  Would be cool if you could provide some detail and tips to help us all out.  Putting it all in the original post keeps the valuable info all in one thread.

got all the tools and gasket. tightened flywheel nut to specs. tightened rotor bolt to specs. kind of tough for a 75 yearold. put the rest back together filled with oil and no noise!! a ton of thanks to drag bike mike. couldn't have done it without your help

DBM or roddy: I have the same sound that's on the video Mike shared. Sounds like I may also have a loose flywheel nut. Where do you get the flywheel holder?
