Yea until the price of fuel goes up nobody but me is going to give a hoot !
and I'm not sure I give a hoot either I do take a ride just about every day. ?
We will all be fine. The average car gets good mpg nowadays.
I understand your sentiment though. I bought a 22 manual corolla hatch for a fun daily gas saver. It did me very good during those crazy gas prices a year or two ago.

There are things called Carbon Foot-Print , Global Warming , Doing the Right Thing even when No-one is Looking ... and many many more I'm trying to do better in my last 33 years ! Mostly to make-up for how "BAD, Bad ,Bad" I was in my first 70 years !
(Somebody needs to try to be Good) .
Some would say that the Cow Farts coming from your property are hurting the environment - I know for sure that down the road from your house at Jack Daniels the barrel toasting they do will put out far more pollutants than your motorcycles!
You aren't driving a monster truck, your aren't making 8 trips a day hauling a bunch of kids to the mall/school/soccer/band practice/etc. You likely have a carbon footprints smaller than most.

Don't be pointing no fingers at my beloved Jack Daniels
In all seriousness though, you are right, but I will add a caveat. Personal vehicles really don't pollute that much. Cargo ships, planes, factories, etc all pollute so much that if every person stopped driving, it wouldn't so much as make a dent in the pollution numbers. Oh well. For reference, one cargo ship can pollute as much as 50 million cars worth... Yikes. There's about 60,000 cargo ships out there. Oh well

Did someone say Cow Farts? With all the different kinds of bovine roaming around, why do the poor cows get all the blame? I’m no scientist, but I know other bovine fart too!
When are we gunna talk about the 2025 spring ride some more? Gas mileage and cow farts are interesting, but where we goin’?

That's gunna take a lot of hay!! And from what I understand, you really don't make much selling cows either these days.

Well Dave , Did I ever tell ya about the time I Lassoed a 800 pound Heffer ? I can assure ya that a 800 pound Bear an't got nothing on an 800 Heffer !
I couldn't turn loose of that rope fast enough NOT to get rope burn !
But it wasn't really funny at the time !
Yea it was a 1" old grass rope. Ruff as a corn cob ! I don't know what I was thinking except "That cow needs to be over here !"
After I got the CJ-5 and ran down the end of the rope trailing that Heffer - and slammed on the brakes she didn't think it was quite as funny either !
Then I tied the rope to the trailer hitch and we got in complete agreement on where we should go - everything turned out OK ... after them blisters healed up !

For a dumb animal , they get hella devious when they’re not behind a fence. Run you down and grind you into the dirt just for fun. When they know their free they ain’t havin anything to do with going back in the field. Got to get the biggest cow to go first the rest will usually follow. The biggest on the ranch across the street was a 1500 lb Brama bull friendly , butt a 1500 lb cow as big as a limousine was the wild one. You could move her but she was just setting you up to get at you at a pinch point or when you’re not looking. She would lead you to a danger zone and then stop and give you a look then try to crush you into barb wire or a gate. Not a nice cow at all , she had a mean streak !

My dad used to breed Simental beef cattle. There are a huge breed where bulls reach 2500 lbs and cows can reach 2000 lbs. Fortunately, they are a calm breed generally, but even a friendly animal can hurt/kill you by accidentally moving in the wrong direction at the wrong time.

I have heard of folks with horses/ponies that they cannot get broken to lead.
So.....they fasten them to a cow for a few days and they learn!
