Has anyone mounted a sidecar to a Suzuki Savage ?

It would seem like the perfect bike to use as a sidecar hack.

A small sidecar like an Inder a Cozy sidecar would be just the job.

I have never seen a sidecar in person on any bike let alone a Savage. Good Luck. Surely, it will be 100% custom.

I have had bikes with sidecars for many years, and can safely say they are the best fun ever. If you have not driven a sidecar rig you have not lived.
I just sold both of my rigs, ( it's a long story ) and now need another. That the Suzuki would be perfect for the job is coincidental, but it's like it was meant to be.

These are the bikes I recently sold.

May I ask what country/region you are in? I believe side cars are more popular in Europe. I did see a Ural with a side car on market place but never in person. I would love to ride a bike with a side car, but there's virtually zero here. Never had the opportunity to do so.

I'm in Saskatchewan Canada, but I am from England. Sidecars are rare here, but I have seen a few more recently.

I think I have just seen a picture of a Suzuki Savage with a sidecar, it's got all sorts of junk attached to it but I think it's a Savage.     I can't find any way to post the picture as it's in some weird format, but take a look here....

It appears that sidecars are fitted to Suzuki Savages quite often. Smiley

Savage can gain some H/P to make it go , but the brakes would be my concern with the extra weight of even a light sidecar. Sounds like a great project , I’m full up with projects , I’ll just watch you build one. Welcome.

The savage will be plenty powerful enough as is, and the brakes are of no concern at all.    It's not much of a project really, it's just a matter of finding the right  sidecar at the right price and bolting it on.

Sidecars are ridiculously expensive, if I can find one for the same price as the bike I will be doing well.

The forum search isn't the best, but Googling "suskisavage.com sidecar" will get hits like this:

Looks like fun but they take up too much space. The space of two motorcycles. My wife would never ride with me anyways , she knows I’m still crazy.

They do take up twice the space but they are twice as useful and twice the fun.  Grin

The wife wisely won’t ride with me either, but the dog is up for anything!  Try this….  Lock your wife and dog in the car trunk and see which one is happy when you open the trunk!

My wife is happy to ride with me, she always has been, I guess I am lucky.
My dogs like riding with me just as much if not more than her. Smiley
