go for it Lancer #50 is good for me , if you can get it for us , but I'm OK with any of them ! Maybe someone else will be able to join us at the last minute ?

If we leave your house on Sunday morning and spend Sunday night about 1/2 or 2/3 the way there ? April 27th - May 3rd is what I marked on my Calendar but I've got from April 22nd -May 10th open.

So, Moab starting Monday night ? Day-Ride's starting Tuesday ?
I'm retired so for my part we can stay as long as yall want or till Marcia call me home for dinner ! Roll Eyes

I was thinking 5 or 6 day rides ... maybe 4 if need be ?

Eventually I'll have a little Tear Drop trailer to sleep in at an Interstate rest area in but I don't have it put together yet , hopefully next year.

Lancer , I can sleep while you drive . We might be able to drive strait through ? Set the GPS on "Fastest Route" and keep at it.
But
It might be good for me to rest for a day between getting to your house and us leaving your house ? Two long days in a roll behind the wheel of a truck ain't good for me , as you know ! I get "Spell-Bound" I think is what it's called ? Undecided

I could ride the bike to your house if the weather is nice. I've still got my bag packed from the Bike Week that got rained out.

Deb and I are leaving early this morning (Wed 3/19) for our trip to the Big Bend area of Texas. We were going to leave on Thursday - but a wind/rain/snow event is coming down from the northern states and bring cold with it! I want to avoid driving on snow covered roads in the RV!!!!!

We were going to go west to St. Louis and then on through Oklahoma City, Wichita Falls and on down to Odessa Texas, as that route is much flatter than the southern route - however that puts us more into the path of the storm.

The southern route we are taking has a lot of hills through Kentucky. We then head toward Nashville and Memphis before the land flattens out - we get back onto the original planned route at Odessa.

Today will be a rough travel day as it is forecast to be very windy. The rest of the trip will be far more relaxed as we are leaving a day early and can go at a relaxed pace and we have time to stop and explore along the way. I anticipate a bit of slow going today and I hope the 20-40mph headwinds stay farther north - however the forecast almost everywhere is for a windy afternoon. I anticipate about 30 hours of time behind the wheel as the RV is not very speedy going up hills!

Their cancellation policy is 1 week notice, but what's their change policy? If we reserve 5 days and decide to extend? or leave early?

My route contains Lost Wages, I don't want to hit that on Sunday... period!
1 day more or less is fine.
