The Emancipation Proclamation would have been in the beginning of it IF slavery was The Driving Issue. But,logic isn't exactly what runs the minds of commies,so of course it's all about race.
Never mind the logical points I made regarding increasing the population of a place By Decree. If the population isn't derived organically, as in,to meet the Needs Of the society, then it's Imbalanced,, which is something you commies should understand.

JOG is correct here.  Being from Haiti isn't the problem

Actually, it is part of the problem. It’s naïve to think you can bring in thousands people from a $hithole place like Haiti and not have a massive clash of culture. I have a relative who married a man from Haiti so I’m aware of the cultural differences. That’s why the story about the missing geese from parks and pet cats going missing didn’t surprise me at all.

Slavery was the foundation. The slavery states evolved their way of life, laws, and concept of state rule during that period so the idea of states rights not being related to slavery just is not correct. Of course it was.

I’ve read dozens if not, hundreds of letters from both the north and the south troops to family back home and the slave issue is a regular topic. Keeping the Republic together was primary but slavery was almost always mentioned or referred to. There’s no way around that.

Not that states rights weren’t an issue worth discussing and didn’t have some role to play, but there’s no way around it: slavery was the foundational issue of the Civil War.

Volume is the primary problem.  Your relative who married a man from Haiti surely didn't experience the same issues as a few Haitians here and there will integrate much better than let's say 20,000 at once.

No, all cultures are not equal and the Haitian culture is not compatible with historical US culture.

It took a while to get the Vietnamese to stop harvesting the critters in Odessa back in the 70s..Unlike Some people, they did seem to appreciate America. Something about saving them from the murder they were going to get at the hands of the commies ,,I dunno..

Vietnamese are very pro-American. Some of the best local business owners in America. I live down near the Bayou in Alabama. Their stores are excellent and they hate China.

I will be visiting Saigon for a few days on my trip in December. Looking forward to seeing the tunnels.

Oh, and according to Leftists, I am racist? Last time I checked, a racist doesn't go to other countries to appreciate the culture.

"... It took a while to get the Vietnamese to stop harvesting the critters in Odessa ..."

Minn, Early 80’s The Hmong,  (which is an ethnic group), coming from southwestern China, Laos, Thailand, and other neighboring countries.
Ate EVERYTHING they could,  and Ignored EVERY game relegation they could.  (DOGS & CATS INCLUDED)
It took several years for that group to learn the customs in THIS Nation.

Same as the group of Somalians,  they just SHIT/PISSED  on a sidewalk or path. It took a year + to be  educated as to the customs/practices of people in THIS Nation. And that This Nation was Not a SHIT HOLE like they came from.

AGAIN!!!!!!
Nothing wrong with those groups.

The problem is the UL, ULTRA, FDS, DFI Socialists did NOT have the brains to educate them on the customs of this new place they were living in.

Oh Wait, was it just because they were to LAZY to do so.

No, all cultures are not equal and the Haitian culture is not compatible with historical US culture.

I know way too many Haitians in the US that do just fine to think their culture is not compatible.  None of them piss on public property, eat pets, or anything like that.  They work, pay taxes, engage in Haitian holidays, food, religion etc.

20,000 at once in a smaller town.  That creates severe compatibility issues.  If we split them into groups of 10 and sent them to 2000 different locations, there would surely be less compatibility issues.  Less, not none.  Less.

To be clear, this post in an opinion for anyone that is incapable of understanding what an opinion is.
