His protection has to find and eliminate the threat before anything bad happens.
They have to be Right every time.
The bad guys only have to Get it Right once.
I used to think Nicky Lauda was the bravest Sumbitch alive.
Not anymore.
From crooked courts and prosecutors, and now people lookin to shoot him!!?

Gee, I wonder what the Nuze Channels would be sayin if the Far Right called biden Hitler and The Greatest threat stopped Ahr Dmokrucee until He was dodgin bullets...
I'm betting we would be getting a 24/7 finger waggin on Violent Rhetoric.

I’m more likely to believe Secret Service agents are chosen at random, and not the case where lower ranked ones are assigned to Trump. (But given how leftist government works it’s not impossible that they purposely set up Trump. I just think that’s a level of 3-D chess that’s just too deep.)

But it’s obvious that the constant Democratic rhetoric that Trump is a threat to democracy, and must be stopped at all costs, ( that’s an actual phrase I heard) drives lunatics on the left, (which to be fair seems to be the majority of them lately,) to take action. As a result, it  just appears Trump’s Secret Service agents are ineffective, but maybe it’s just a case the others don’t face those situations.

Didn't know that.
Thought the SS did,
whatever they deem to do !

And only answered to the POTUS.

The SS is under the Dept. of Homeland Security after 2003, before that it was part of the Department of Treasury.  They "answer to" the Dept. of Homeland Security, most commonly the Secretary of the DHA.  I doubt the SS does whatever they want and then "only" answers to the POTUS.  Strategically this would make zero sense.

My opinion is the POTUS does not sit down and go over performance reviews, deciding what agent goes where.

So it wasn't a DOJ, employee ?

It was a person, or a group of people, working for 'Homeland Security '

that ordered 2 Secret Service members to try and Steal Hunters 4473 ?

I do not know.  My opinion, for anyone that does not know what an opinion is, this is one.  My opinion is that a DoJ, or group of intermixed DoJ and DHA employees made the assessment.

It was a person, or a group of people, working for 'Homeland Security '

It might have been a mix, or only DoJ, I do not think it was the POTUS in exclusivity, or the SS.  Neither the SS or the POTUS typically conduct the investigations required to gain information of this type on their own.  This is an opinion.

Another opinion is that the POTUS typically does not conduct performance reviews of SS agents and assign them himself.

Attempting to Steal a 4473, is not even remotely close to, 'gaining information'.

The SS Thieves, knew full well what they were attempting to Steal.

Removing the proof of Hunter, Illegally purchasing a firearm, and Lying on the 4473, would make the charges go away.

The question is, who told them to do it ?

In My Opinion, it was Daddy, Covering his sons AZZ.

I meant the process of finding this information.  I doubt the POTUS did any of this.

I also doubt the POTUS goes through SS agent performance reviews and assigns them.
