An actual inconvenient truth: Obama was adamantly against gay marriage (his position was to the right of most current Republicans) until he realized the wackos that were destroying his party were in such numbers, he had to switch gears or lose. It wasn’t convenient any longer.

Of course, that’s reported today as an evolution in his thinking, not because it was going to cost him votes.
