Here is a link to a very sad event that happened to an avid motorcycle rider.  He was riding and something that he had packed on the bike (sleeping bag/bedroll) came loose and got caught in his back wheel and he went down.  He is in the hospital and he lost a toe on one foot and lost the entire foot on the other leg.  They amputated his foot, and then Memorial Day amputated the leg a little higher up so that he has room for a good prosthetic.
