Temporary Rear Turn Signal Stalk Fix
11/08/23 at 13:24:17

Hello - 1997 LS 650 Suzuki Savage - riding for 15 years plus on this!

I need s temporary fix for the back turn signal stalk.  See photo -

Anything I can do?  A hose clamp & electrical tape held it together for YEARS, but something happened and it is hanging.  I can't remember what I did to keep the fixture together.

I have some clamps that I could probably use but the problem is there is hardly anything for it to grab on to.  I cut the rubber off the nub.

It'll get fixed proper, but in the meantime - any ideas?

Thanks so much.
D

If only I could get something to grab on to this nub.  I have all kinds of clamps.

Just get Harley knockoffs and bolt it in there.

Thank you for the idea!

I needed a quick fix while I waited for the part.  Part came very quicly.  The fix was not that easy.  Who knew there was a hidden hex bolt on the inside of the chrome thing.

While the break happened just because the original fix from 8 years ago finally gave out, the use of these wood pieces has stopped more breakage.  Has stopped landscapers, neighbors, running kids, and me from hitting these tender lights.  I don't have a garage so its in the parking lot.

Thanks again for this site!
