My endeavour into installing a stronger conrod has now been officially cancelled.
At first I thought that the JAWA speedway rod would be fine, but finding a suitable bearing proved challenging, to say the least. However the problem of accomodating the 23mm wristpin into the small end cancelled that possibility.
One last attempt included trying to have a custom rod manufactured by Carrillo. They will do it, and for a reasonable price actually. But a minimum order of 4.
Since I seem to be the only person on earth that has these concerns, I guess I have to forget about it, and rely on the experience of more seasoned riders, and accept the fact that the stock rod is strong enough.
Winter is coming close and the bike goes into storage. I will use some of the time to mount the 20deg. downdraught carburettor and the 35mm inlet valves. Bronze valve seats are already in my posession.

Cheers, Finn Hammer
