First--sorry for the delays in posting an update. I've got several projects going and sometimes it takes me a while to get back to this.

Took the carb a part and soaked all the jets for several days in my carb cleaner of choice, pine sole. i really didn't think think it would help as they seemed pretty clean. But it did help and the bike started right up and settled into a nice idle. I didn't get to take it out because of rain but it revved nicely with no hesitation, so I'm hopeful that that's the end of it, for now.
