WTB : Aftermarket Front pegs.

A friend of mine just picked up an 2012 S40, it came with a Bent peg (shifter side).

it's rideable, but I would like to get a better peg on there,   I have looked everywhere and it seems like they are just super expensive, not to mention, they seem to bend pretty easy.

I would like to see ifI can get some aftermarket pegs that are a bit cheaper or ones that look nicer and are a bit more durable.

Any other options out there?  I just am having a time trying to find any info on them.

Stock sportster pegs fit very well and are a dime a dozen. I think you do have to go to the hardware store and get another bolt/spacer to make it work. Not that sportster pegs haven't been used, the mounting is different.
and HD peg bolts are smaller and generally the hole can drilled out to accommodate.
but if you don't get the center right they can droop a bit.

All you need to make sportster pegs work is a 14 mm long spacer and a 20 mm long Allen head cap bolt. Take your new pegs and stock bolt to the hardware store and try things out.

Do they droop? A tiny bit.
Do I notice? Not really.
Do they function? Yes.
Are they much cheaper, more plentiful, stronger, and better looking than the stock pegs? Also yes.
