Grip glue

Opinions on grip glue. What do you use ? Tell me/us all about it. Glues  , chemicals , molasses. Tell all what works and what doesn’t.
Nothing worse than landing a good jump and on impact your grip shoots of the bars like a nerf missle ! Yeah your gonna leave a mark !

Bought some Gorilla contact adhesive , 4 small tubes for $8 , now I got spares.

Is it hard to get off when it’s time ?

I tested several carb cleaners & brake cleaners on the throttle grip trying to find one to slime up the grip rubber. Throttle tubed unaffected by it but a brake cleaner started to react with the rubber and I stuck it on. We will see if it sticks.

I don't know what percentage of a second it is, but the amount of time  between the
Grip coming off the handlebar and realizing you are far enough into the crash that you won't recover it is just about how long it takes to say
Dafuq???

I used to use grip glue - just the little tube you can buy at the motorcycle shop.  It is tedious to use.

However - I found that for most grips you spray the handlebar and inside the grip with the thin WD40 and then easily shove the grip on.  Then in about 2 days the grip is stuck on tight.  When the WD40 gets absorbed into the rubber (or evaporates)...the grip is stuck on tight.  Removal just requires you to shove a small Phillips screw driver or thin punch along the inside of the grip and spray a bit more WD40 in there to loosen it up.

I don't think I would try the WD40 method on foam grips....just the rubber ones.

Yeah chemical reaction is what I was after. But wd40 that’s a new one to me. Never thought to try that. Whatever reacts to the rubber grip.

Tried pulling that grip off the throttle with some vigor and it didn’t budge ! See how long it lasts. I’m gonna try the Gorilla glue on the left grip.
