What they're doing when they're not doing their actual job sometimes tends to become front and center while they are at their job and a distraction/source of discomfort to those around them. Face it, there is a subset of people who are hired and promoted by companies BECAUSE of what they do when "they aren't doing their actual job". Actually, I care to a point what people do when they "aren't doing their actual job". I would care a great deal if my child's teacher starred in drag shows or attended drug-fueled orgies every weekend. This woman was featured in that promotional for an ESG because of her queer status, immigrant background, and color. I would be much more comfortable to see somebody featured in a promotional because they are simply awesome at their job and have accomplished great things.
