This cylinder was bored to 97mm by Boretech, and it also has a silicone carbide treatment that improves the hardness of the cast iron liner.

All 3 of the 6mm aluminum threads have HeliCoil stainless threads installed to 18mm deep to prevent the aluminum threads from stripping in the future.

The piston was provided by Lancer and is the Wiseco 97mm pop up piston that provides 9.5:1.  I coated the piston top with Cerakote as a thermal barrier.

The Wiseco rings have been gapped to fit this cylinder.

The cylinder was stripped of paint, glass bead blasted, and then painted with PJ1 Satin Black.

The cost of a usable cylinder and shipping from eBay is about $100.  The cost of the boring and silicone carbide treatment was just over $200, the cost of the piston was $199, the cost of the copper head gasket was $30, the base gasket was $11.70....the total cost of the parts is right at $545.70......and that doesn't include the cost of the Cerakote on the piston top or labor to clean and paint the cylinder and piston top, or the amount of shipping or taxes I paid.
