Okay, so Obama is just that stupid. Imagine building your life in a place that is gonna be underwater. And, bot, I'm betting those properties you're talking about may well get clobbered, but the water goes away and repairs get made. See the difference between underwater forever, Glass Bottom Boat tour attractions and houses like in Galveston, they get clobbered, the storm goes away, the water drains away, it gets REBUILT, unlike properties that graduate to Glass Bottom Boat tour attractions?

I can't believe that needs explained

Why would anyone buy a $10M Bugatti that costs $22,000 for an oil change?
I don't know,... but do you want to subsidize their insurance?

Sure, the super rich can buy what they want,... but what about the people of Bangladesh? Africa? China?
We are 8 billion people now... not all beachfront property is luxury.
Not everyone has a car... for some people the answer to flood is run.

Not the point.
I'm telling you that the problem you're trying to solve isn't the problem you're convinced it is. As evidence I offer the logical point that If it was actually the concern you believe it is, Obama and others would not be living where they are. And what is it exactly you expect? You expect sea levels to go up like a flash flood? Explain, just Describe what you expect to happen. You think the oceans are going to rise forty feet in a day? Week? Month? The disaster that you await has been Gonna Happen any minnit now for decades. When it Finally starts, what's it gonna look like? A wall of water because all the ice melted at the same time? The remnants of a settlement on the bottom of, I think the Mediterranean, because ice melted, you figure they didn't have time to escape?
So, describe the situation you believe is coming. The coastal regions flooded, I get that. But what kinda timeline? Considering how much it's gone up in the past decades, and the rate the ocean is rising, how many billion people are gonna drown?

7 million in Bangladesh need aid after ‘worst floods in memory,’ Red Cross says
https://www.cnn.com/2022/06/29/asia/bangladesh-floods-millions-urgent-relief-...

More than 7 million people in Bangladesh are in desperate need of shelter and emergency relief after what one aid agency has described as the worst flooding to hit South Asia in living memory.

Hundreds of thousands of homes near the Bangladesh-India border are underwater, and in the worst-hit areas whole neighborhoods have been submerged, aid agencies said Tuesday.

At least 207 people in both countries have died since the floods began in April, according to official figures.

Torrential rain has caused rivers in Bangladesh – a densely populated delta nation – to overflow, submerging areas that border the Indian state of Meghalaya, according to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).

Some 94% of Bangladesh’s Sunamganj town and 84% of the surrounding Sylhet district are now submerged, the IFRC said. Roads leading to the region have been largely cut off and there are power cuts even in areas not underwater.

"Seen a lot of that, have ya?

Twilight Zone weeds?"

Yes.  Plenty of weeds grow much larger than produce plants.  Neglected gardens all over the world indicate this.

The point is "green always means good" is a flawed logic.  Co2 in greenhouses doesn't mean more Co2 is beneficial for anything but plants.  Not all plants help humans survive.

It's a flood. Maybe you missed the flooding in our major growing areas in the last few years. It Happens. And the Drama of adding
Worst Ever means squat. Drought happens, floods happen,
The world was warmer than it is NOW, and nobody was driving a car.
Nobody KNOWS the future. But the same people have been screaming about it for decades.
Seems like you otta be tired of them winding you up like an eight day clock.

They're creaming about it because 7 million became homeless.
It may seen routine to you but not to them.
As long as you deny it's happening, you won't see it happening.
Is that how it works?

100year 500year and 1,000year weather events are becoming regular events.
If you don't see it, you're not looking.

What you don’t understand, can’t understand, you’re looking for it so you see it. Again, Sharpshooter Fallacy. You see what you want to see.

nuts happens. Sometimes here, sometimes there. Hurricanes, tornadoes, major flooding,

Why is Bangladesh so prone to flooding?
Bangladesh is prone to flooding due to being situated on the Brahmaputra River Delta (also known as the Ganges Delta) and the many distributaries flowing into the Bay of Bengal. Coastal flooding, combined with the bursting of river banks is common, and severely affects the landscape and society of Bangladesh.

Can you name a couple weather events?  Every time their is a big storm, the media sensationalizes it.  I don't believe good records were maintained before the late 1800s.

Best regards,

Food.  More plants that don't make food, or otherwise contributes to humans isn't a better green.  More green that is useful specifically for the emerging scale of global population is good.  Green in general is too small of a parameter to, by itself, be considered universally good.

This is just a part of why pumping Co2 into a greenhouse is a poor argument.

Its like saying if global warming isn't an issue why do we pump cool air into homes?  That's a weak argument that is intentionally simplistic.

Not everything has to be Food,E. If warming is the boogeyman, then green is your friend.
Satellite images show earth is more green than thirty years ago. That is beneficial. Plants use co2,make oxygen. Even the plants you don't Want.
If the environment is okay for weeds, then pull them and plant a garden. That is not easy where it's too cold. The whole
We all gonna DAH! Thing is really getting Old. How many times have we been given the
We have Twelve Years to Do Something!! Or else?
I think we are on number three.
What if the industrial Revolution had never happened? Where would we be? Cold?
Nobody wants to talk about when the world was warmer than it is NOW.
Why is that?
Why are you so desperate to confine the scope of this to
Not every plant is food?
Nobody said it was. More stuff growing is good. If something Will grow in a place, food can too. The world is more supportive of plants than it was. Satellite images show that.
So, where is the evidence of this Coming Disaster? It's BEEN Right around the Corner for DECADES.
If a preacher gained the confidence of such a number of people and declared the end of the world, and they got ready for it, and it didn't happen, how many times would they fall for his prediction?
Talk about Faith in the unseen! Warmists have unshakable Faith. Even after the prediction fails and the evidence, the More and Wurser hurricanes that would come, and then Florida went about ten YEARS without any serious damage, it's just Ridiculous that we are changing everything about society, from energy sources and cars, just because some people are believing what I see no Evidence for.

Show Me!. Stop playing word games and explain why I should be skeert Too.
I'm not only not skeert, I'm laughing at all the believers. It would be a lot funnier if they were only screwing themselves.

You are mixing the overall argument of climate change with how poor the Co2 in greenhouses argument is.

Its intentionally simplistic and misleading.  Just like saying if the planet getting warmer isn't an issue why do we cool homes?  It's an isolated environment intentionally designed to alter the natural environment around it.
