My first thought is WTF is wrong with people in Pennsylvania? I suppose Oz is a bit of a Mitt Romney and perhaps enough hard core Rs just couldn’t get enthused. But what a ridiculous person to put in the Senate.

And I really wanted to see Kari Lake declare war on the cartels on the AZ border, that would have been cool. But that one’s not over yet as of this morning.

Georgia is a F’d up mess. Why New Yorkers and Michigan didn’t get rid of their Governors is beyond me. Both are just idiots.

I knew Abbot and DeSantis were going to win Governor,  but the gap, especially in FL, was huge. Tell your grandchildren to learn Spanish.

The trick as always is to set aside bias and seriously try to understand why someone won or lost. My problem, and let’s face it, all of us on here, is we’re not the norm. We follow this stuff much, much closer than the average person. We are the ultimate example of not being able to see the forest for the trees. But a Jules Winnfield from Pulp Fiction, “I’m trying Ringo, I’m trying real hard.“

Did this abortion rights issue honestly change anyone’s vote? For regular Dems and Reps, no, but for those few seriously in the middle? I’m not sure. That’s my challenge to understand that.

They’ll be no impeachment of Puddinhead, but with a divided Congress, no more of this stupid $hit will get done so maybe the economy recovers a little bit.

Red Jesus was just cut off at the knees.
Everyone needs to hitch their wagon to DeSantis.

The problem?
It's hard to ditch a man you've deified.
It's a sin.
Hell awaits.

How about saying all that again but in English. I have no idea what you’re talking about.

I would say yes.  From my experience those who are generally not invested religiously or politically they trend towards independent choice.  Not just with abortion, but in general.  I only know a few Republicans that voted Democrat due to Rowe v Wade, but they also think "no exceptions" legislation is on the dockets and Boebert in CO hasn't exactly been tangibly productive.

Don't play dumb,.. ...you know.
You want credit for denial?

There are evangelical Trumpers that have literally deified him.
Rationality is out the window.
Their faith won't let them turn away.

I’ve spoken to three or four of my political sounding board people and to  a person, they all say Trump has got to back out of any thoughts about The White House and if he doesn’t, we could lose 2024.

Fair analysis.

With regards to Boebert, not living there I don’t know but if you’re going to be a lightning rod like that, you have to deliver for your district. If you don’t, sooner or later you’ll be out of luck.

The joke of a congresswoman in St. Louis, Cori Bush, at least delivers for those in her district. To be fair, all she does is take my money and spread it out to them but that’s what they want so she’s delivering. I have no idea if Boebert did the same for her group or not.

And I thought I just saw that that race is not officially over yet, right?

Its not officially over, but the huge turnout of Conservative voters or her described "Red Wave" is definitely not the case.

It will be close, and it will be close because, from what I have heard and have no data to support this, is that she is "All talk" or is "Too disconnected from reality".  I've heard those or similar comments the most from Republican voters.

Personally I don't care about her as a human speaking because politicians words rarely mean anything of substance, but her track record of actual results is almost nonexistent.  Not one of her sponsored works has passed even a committee.  Multiple of her bills have zero, not one, cosponsor.  There are records, and an investigation, regarding her using campaign funds to pay personal expenses.  This is too inefficient for me.

These things, unless you only vote for your party, have turned votes for some, if the statements being made by the humans voting are true.
