You can denigrate a qualified candidate and what? Nobody is supposed to show you Why you are Wrong? You offered Zero reasons to say she is not qualified. Somehow, because she was hired to report the news she was somehow intellectually unable to make good decisions for the people in her state. Just because You can sneer at her and say she isn't qualified, does not make it so.
Why not tell us why? What does she stand for that is bad for her constituents?

If you would use sentences and paragraphs and share with us Why you believe she is not qualified and Why Katy is, then we could have a conversation about it.
But to just demean the woman and pretend that because she was once on the news demonstrates that she is incapable of doing the job she is trying to get is really silly.

News anchor, worked for a company for 22years. So, who does that? What kind of person does that? In 22years she would have had to navigate through different personalities. I know I could never work in one place that long. But I was just Ate Smooth Up with curiosity about different things and I Wanted to learn how to do those things. So, she's stable, and probably not difficult to be around, or they would have ditched her.
Nothing about her history is a disqualifying mark,IMO.
Does it scream Qualified? No, but she has demonstrated some qualities that being qualified requires.
