It is true we need to have a historical record. An accurate one would be nice, such as this "calling black people weeds" which has already been established to be false.

There is a difference between utilizing a historical record as evidence and education versus using it to claim anyone related to that historical person is equal to that person.

If the CEO of a company in the 30's was racist and pro-slavery it doesn't mean all actions from that company today is based off race. I could care less if Henry Ford was racist (IF, is hypothetical and not meant to convey Henry Ford or any other known person in any place or period of time IS racist) as long as the current Company is following US law.

So I agree we need to utilize historical record, but the words of the dead reduce in relevance over time, and even more so if people aren't extending those values forward.

I don't care if she hated black people. Saying she called them weeds is categorically wrong and I don't accept lies as evidence to prove a point. If people want to gripe about Sanger have at it, but why lie?

And as usual you act like I said anything at all about Planned Parenthood. I said I don't really care what Sanger said, and claiming she called black people weeds is incorrect.

I have not once indicated that information used to support a viewpoint should be intentionally misleading. I have always said "both sides" are capable of presenting truthful and misleading information and as such should be approached with equal levels of scrutiny.

To be specific the words "both" and "sides" is meant to convey Humans with opposing or varying viewpoints from another Human or Humans, regarding any subject or series of subjects, ideas, or opinions.
