White spacer mod question
01/21/22 at 18:22:28
Doing the white spacer mod. It appears there’s an e-clip with about 7 positions. What position should the clip be?
Also couldn’t I just put the clip in a lower position and then there’s no need to remove the white spacer?
Or, maybe I don’t have OEM parts.

Either you don’t have the correct needle for the carb, or you don’t have an OEM CV carb.

Thanks. It’s a Mikuni CV but the previous owner must’ve installed this different jet needle.
Does the proper needle only have one groove for the e-clip like in this photo?

Yes! I used a tiny dab of superglue on my finger and ran the spacer back and forth across a piece of sandpaper to 1/2 thickness. Use a caliper to measure it. Backfires(afterfires) much reduced.
Cheers!
