 This is why we shouldn't be using mainstream media to make decisions.

 I think that sums most of this up.

 I don't think the FBI was responsible for a "primary" role as there were too many people using non-FBI media and devices to organize and attend, but not many people will categorize all the communication devices and go check payment records to verify.
