We had a few good weather days last week and I got my first ride(s) of the year!

On Wednesday night the temps were in the middle 60's and I rode out to a dinner with a group of motorcycle friends.

On Friday morning I put fuel in the Honda MiniTrail that I have owned for more than 20 years and I never started or have ridden. When I worked at Cardinal Engineering I had 3 file cabinets in my office, and this bike was displayed on top of the cabinets......it was my office "art". It is going up for sale on "Bring a Trailer" and I figured it was important for bidders to know it runs! They are only 1.8HP - so hauling my heavy butt up the hill required a downshift to 2nd gear! It is the first year of the MiniTrail (1968) - so there are no lights, a short muffler, white grips and white plastic levers, and an ON/OFF switch instead of a key.

Well......I am hoping to get a lot of money for it. There are some crazy people out there, and right now the little MiniTrail bikes seem to be in high demand.

It would be embarrassing if somebody got a picture of both of us on that little seat !! Embarrassed

I hope the bidding get up enough you can get the long seat model . ..........................

Marcia and I took the DR. out for a 10 mile ride Saturday and it was really tight.
I don't think we'll be taking it next time.

Some public roads with camping on the road side would be nice as long as town wasn't too far off.
