 Sure but they also helped Trump win by providing specifically targeted content to specific demographics.  This was one of the genius moves the Trump campaign made that helped tilt a tremendous amount of Hillary voters to vote Trump instead.   Brad Parscale did an amazing job using social media to help the Trump campaign.  By his claims 50,000 to 60,000 variations of an Ad were tested each day - sometimes as many as 100,000.

 They were able to do this because Facebook and Twitter are a business.
They aren't a tax-funded public forum, they are a business and as far as I am concerned they should be treated as such.

 Now that Trump no longer supports their business model because life changes - why would a business choose the client that will get them less money?  Drop that client and go where the money is.  Evidently even though Trump spends a ton on ads, the metrics must show that it is more profitable to keep him off the platform.  Or maybe they just don't want his money, who knows.

 No I am suggesting exactly what I said.  The Trump campaign used Facebook and Twitter to turn the tide in their favor in ways never before utilized.  They did so by using the business platforms as they were intended, to make money off ad revenue.  Trump won tons of votes using Facebook.

 Not a tax-funded public forum where they posed policy suggestions for debate or education, but privately run business selling ad space.  That ad revenue must not be worth having Trump on the platform anymore.  Now people want to act like Facebook and other's don't literally sell your attention and should not act like a for-profit business that caters to the clientele that provides the most revenue.
