Give us a shot into the recess of the insulator. Looking at the side doesn't tell us much.

So, did you blow the crap out of the recess that plug sits down in before you pulled the plug and let it fall in?

Hey Mr. V,
How come everybody I talk to is running like a 50 pilot jet and a 155 Main I’m assuming they’re referring to the stock carburetor? Because I have a 40 mm PWK and it seems to like a 35 pilot and a 158 mean? Should I be going up on the pilot? I know there’s tons of info out there I just wanted to get your opinion

My bad …
Funny story, on my road trip for work which I’m about to embark on once again, I have a stop in Linden NJ… Then on to Boston,
Well Plainview New York first I think… I think it’s pretty cool up there.

Depends on the year, for a pre 90, this is stock (almost)
I don't have a stock carb and I run a 5K needle. I sure that doesn't anything to you.
you don't have a stock carb, so I don't know what you'll run.
If it starts and runs good... and you have good mpg, that's great.  Don't F it up.

Plug looks a shade lean, what color is your header? What's your mpg?  How wide's your grin?

Grin is pretty wide…lol…
At the risk of sounding like a bonehead, how do you guys time yourselves I mean I don’t have a Dyno in my backyard. I mean I know when she’s running like crap and when she’s not.  like drag bike Mike, he’s posting about you know second gear gains of .33 seconds. I was just curious on how  One could  time themselves. I mean last time I checked it takes two hands to operate the bike let alone introduce a stopwatch

Also my header is wrapped… it was nasty when I got the bike that’s why I rewrapped it. But here’s the muffler. Looks like it’s running rich to me.

Not sure why you think the pipe says you are running rich. That kind of discoloring is from running hot, which means running lean. Plug looked hot/lean.
