2nd amendment explanations depend largely upon the the individuals point of view.
The "tyranny" the founders were anticipating was one of attack from foreign powers.
They wanted a volunteer military rather than a paid one, and so wanted an armed organized militia.
This is no longer applicable.

The closest we've come to a tyrannical overthrow, is the recent 1/6 21 attack on Congress and Trump's simultaneous efforts to influence the military and DOJ ... fueled by 2nd amendment supporters.
This is the opposite of the founders intent.
Fortunately, our military leaders stood up for the Constitution and did not submit to the tyrant.

Fortunately, their are people knowledgeable about the 2nd.
And explanations are NOT, dependent on people that,
HATE guns, and expound that everyone else,
should have the same believe.

"...Privates in the Continental army earned about $6.25 a month. To entice soldiers to join the army, Congress, states and towns offered a bounty, which was a one-time payment of money or a grant of land, upon enlistment...."

"...Privates in 1776 earned $6 a month plus a bounty at the end of their service. That pay would equate to $157.58 today, a pretty cheap deal for the poor Continental Congress. ..."

"...When soldiers signed up for an enlistment period they were promised to receive a bounty at the end of the time. The bounty was either money or land. They also received a monthly salary: privates earned $6, sergeants $8, and captains $20. Soldiers had to buy their own uniforms, gear, and weapons with their own money..."

Defend from enemies, foreign and domestic.

You are100% incorrect in your assessment of Why the second amendment exists.
If you would read the documents prior to the constitution and then the constitution you would discover they had No faith in the government they created lasting and not becoming tyrannical.
A Republic,if you can keep it.
The constitution will not work for an immoral people.

If you actually Believe the second amendment is not about throwing off a tyranny, you are just wrong.
