Blowing fuse

Everytime I connect the battery the 20 amp fuse blows. Any idea why?

Yeah, you gotta short.

Harbor Freight sells a gizmo that replaces the fuse and will indicate the current.

Or you can feel for hot spots in your wiring harness.

or unplug everything and see if it still blows fuses.

Which fuse tells you what part of the harness is involved.
The wires behind the belt would be something to check.

Thanks for the help. Could it be the starter relay hooked up wrong ? Just wondering

Is the polarity of the battery correct?

Make sure that you've bought a left handed battery.

ground goes to negative.
positive goes to the relay.

If you don’t know what I mean, I bet that is the problem. Red to positive. Visually inspect the battery to make sure that the is a + where you are connecting the red terminal.

Battery: Install: red-black  Remove: black-red  I've hammered that into my brain since my first bike. Also place a dab of red paint near + terminal.
Cheers!  Cool
