Some one has to had this problem
It has to be covered somewhere.
So if some one could point me in the correct direction.
Batman?

My Ryca conversion. Starts fine cold.
But will not start hot.

Some where between the starter switch and the starter there is a problem.

When hot I can use a wire from the battery +, and the starter and the bike will start.
So the starter is ok .

So....when it is hot the starter fails to function when the handlebar button is pushed?

Can you hear the starter solenoid "click"?

Loose connections , bad starter solenoid
Time to breakout the multimeter
See if your loosing trigger signal to solenoid or loosing power thru solenoid
You could probably use a test light for that

If that does it, time to get a good light and magnifying glass. Hunt a crack and look at solder joints for a cold solder mark. Matte finish on a joint isn't in spec.
Might just go around and heat joints till solder melts, but work in different places. Don't let an area get too hot. Better to have to mess with it on and off, than cook a transistor, burn a trace, etc.

A relay works on applied voltage.
The Circuit Board that is the timer is what you need to be studying.
