Will this muffler fit?

Found an HD muffler PN 64941-01 at a decent price. Appears to have the ideal rail mount system. Will it work if I use the process described in Serowbot's post in the tech section?

Looks like it will fit.
They all take a little finagling to get right, but the end reward is worth it.
Try to get the Harley brand clamp included if you can.
...and you'll need to cut some extra slits at the input end to get the clamp to squeeze down onto your pipe.
Good luck, and welcome to SS.com... Cool

Plus the stock muffler is oversized and too heavy.
You won’t regret it

Most excellent. Not sure if it's worth a new post to ask, but at 400ft elevation, airbox door and snorkel removed, will I need to rejet and do the spacer after the swap? What are some symptoms I should be looking for? Currently getting very little if any backfiring.

Most of my riding is at elevations just above yours and I didn't do much with mine.  Little leaner.  But I kept the stock box.

The best thing to do is put the pipe on and try it.  The worse thing to do is change several things at once.

I went from a complete newb to ... "I'm never buying gas at that place again, because I can feel the difference!"

I may have tuned the carb within an inch of it's life, but I sure learned a lot!!  Cool

I used the rail mount, plus I had a local muffler shop make a little bent adapter 6 degree bend. You can only use one bolt on the rail but that's enough. Use the HD T clamps they are fat and clamp all the way around.

Although a lot of people here don't bother with an angled adapter, if you have a muffler shop around, you won't regret it. Ryca have one ready made.
