08/10/20 at 18:51:54

Edited:
I put in the KN FILTER and the carb keeps dlippingbotr of the boot.
How can I stop this from happening?
The clamp is not holding. It’s a stick clamp , so maybe a better one ?

Gotta get it all the way in so the clamp is behind the lip on the end of the carb .

I was in to the lip but had popped out twice

I think I need a ribbed clamp to part it tighter

Don't worry about the clamp Suzuki knew what they were doing. Unless you or somebody has changed it.

The problem is incorrect assembly. Keep working on it and all will be well.

Remember when you change anything from stock you are on your own.

If the clamp is tightened to its limit and the fit is still loose, Wrap 5 - 10 turns of electrical tape to the boot under the clamp. Or get new boots.

installing cold is a real pain.  10 seconds with a heat gun on the rubber part and a whiff of soap or wd40 and it slips on to the hilt.  clamp tight!
cheers!  Cool
ps:  I remove the tank first!

The problem was not seated properly.

I put a very thin amount of grease on my finger and rubbed the rim.

With some effort it popped in .

Thanks everyone Wink
