I have a 2012 s40. I would like to see a power/torque curve chart for the bike. Thanks.

This is a printout of my first dyno pull.  Completely stock 2016 LS650, absolutely no changes whatsoever.  It agrees with factory HP spec.  If you copy and paste the graph onto your desktop, you can blow it up for better resolution.

That 40 incher puts down a blistering 30.5 HP.   Shocked

Well 30.5 HP may not sound like a lot - but the bike is capable of getting a speeding ticket in every state in the US!

This is crazy, not two days ago I searched here for that exact same curve, to compare to the gs500. Reason being is that I'm looking at a Speed Twin 80nm of torque vs a Guzzi V7 with 60nm. So I know how the GS reacts and the S40 tried to do some sort of impossible comparison.

Point is that it's really easy to get swept up in the power and torque talk. It's like buying a computer at the turn of the century, should we buy this one, because in 6 months there's be a faster one and on and on.

I want the Speed Twin specs but I'm in love with the V7 so I decided that if the V7 has double the torque of the S40, then that's way good enough, and it delivers low down in the rev range too.
