 The rest of that story:  "On average" means national average when you get these numbers.  So yeah, you take a hospital running over-capacity of intensive care resources and compare it to one's that are not, across the country, you get a "national average".

 Some, not all, ICU units are being utilized past capacity, in areas where SARS-COV-2 is at a peak infection rate.  An empty hospital in Anchorage won't do much for one in Houston.

 Completely incorrect.  You do not get a positive infection test from antibodies, but people say that to skew data.  Also known as spin, and already addressed as "Common knowledge" in another thread here.

 Possible but I haven't seen this anywhere.  Can this be referenced, or is this one of those situations where I am expected to provide information but when I ask for it, I will be told to look it up because a past forum member that left said that nonsense?

 That's the definition of a "Case".  Any infection is a case, even if a person is immune and has no symptoms.  


 Now some of these false positives exist but we don't need to inflate it, spin it and outright lie, like saying antibody tests show false infection positives and are counted as a case.  How hard is it to stop dramatizing something to prove a point?  Why do people complain about one side making $hit up and then also do that same thing?

Why so bunched up over wearing a mask?
If they don't help,... no harm no foul.
If they do help,.. lives saved, maybe yours.

When the consequence of being wrong one way is slight inconvenience, and the other way is thousands of deaths,... the choice is simple.
Refusing to take simple precautions costs lives, bankrupts businesses, prevents schools from opening, overtaxes healthcare workers, and may create permanent disabilities.
All to make an idiotic political point.

This is why the Republican party is circling the rim of the bowl.

 Those infections did not infect as many people is as short of time.  The R0 here is higher and more globally widespread.  If it mostly stayed in China, like avian did, we wouldn't have this issue.

 This is fundamentally incorrect.  The mask is intended to reduce the amount of fluids you expel from your mouth into the environment around you.  Somehow this has worked for over a century, but with SARS-COV-2 it magically does not.

 
 This is just a case of fighting misinformation with a different brand of misinformation.
