I’ve had Corbin seats on a number of bikes but not my S40. There are mixed reviews on Corbin. I’ve loved them. They are a bit hard at first but eventually contour to your back side and become very comfortable. They are quality made and long lasting.

I had a 2005,, one piece seat,, yeah, one piece of brick,, Then I had a 2002,, two piece seat,, OHH so much better.. Not sure about the mounting differences, but buying a two pice used cant be 500 bux,,

I had a Corbin seat for a few months.
I kept it on that long only because I paid so
much money for it.

It scrunched me too far forward on the bike
and didn't allow me to slide back when I
needed to stretch out a little. (I'm 5'-11")
I thought the contour and the quality of the
Corbin was good, but it wasn't as comfortable
as the stock seat for longer rides.

Note:  You need to raise the front of the stock
           seat by at least an inch for the best comfort.

I did ALOT of research into seats. I had an issue with a very sore tailbone on the stock seat. Based on info from this site I got hold of a another one-piece seat and went to town on it. I moved the rectifier from under the seat, cut the bump out of the seat-pan, reshaped the foam (with a carving knife and 80 grit sandpaper, and got it re-covered for $150.

Now I can slide forward in the twisties or slide back on the highway ... and ... it looks pretty good.

This strategy is not for everyone, but I found the learning curve to be well worth it.
