And, having survived so many Ends of the Wurld,, I am also caught unprepared.. Id bet Im better prepared than 80% or more, but still,, Insufficiently for what I saw coming..

He he he, I am worse than a prepper. I am prepping by stacking on the lbs. I know I am perfectly fine to 140-143 lb - what I weighed on Jan 13 2017. However of late, I have been eating all the rejects from the wife (vegan) and kiddo (no dairy) and all the weeds around my yard - including teach my neighbors and my family about what they can eat and have better health.

I am guessing I'd be fine 60-90 days after stores go full commie.

BTW I am yet to pay anything over the prices I paid in Jan/feb for anything. In fact cans of chicken were on sale at 2.02 a 2 pack. LOL. In this crisis a sale ??? yea.
Beer, 50c a good high end one - I'm drinking a Southern Tier citrus punch - y'know for the immunity, 50c a 12oz and that sucker is a 8.5 abv imperial wheat ale.
BTW we bought 2 bidets. Kiddo learnt to use it a few days and complained, then not a peep. We ask him today and he said - its better than paper, why would any one use paper, and we're already good with water.
This basic shutdown and quarantine has given us a lot, including the possibility that full time office return is now a near impossibility into a building they know they can never clean and isolate out as well as the open floor offices, where I will cough a few times to keep everyone on the edge if it were ever it happen.

I am certainly laughing. If now Greta Tunberg doesn't embrace these shutdowns, I'll guarantee she's been paid for, and certainly its not for her looks.

I think Merkel is a lot smarter than Trump, so just compare Germany's current situation with the UUSofA. Do you think it was 'smart' of Trump to delay any serious response for four weeks?

Look a gambler can mortgage his house go into a casino and put it all on a square of numbers, and it may come up. Was that smart? The smart thing is to examine any data and make an empirical judgement. Was it smart for McConnell to sell out the UUSofA's democracy? Well he's got a Supreme Ct full of his guys. Was that smart? Well the payoff is having an out of control lunatic in the Oval Office and Barr dismantling the rule of law. Was that smart? Time will tell.

Remember way back when Trump was sucking up to Kim, you wanted to give Trump a chance instead of going with all the diplomatic experts who said Kim was just using Trump, playing him for the fool that he is. Well now you see the result.

Like someone ELSE did better than TRump with Kim? That was TRump being diplomatic. If he had treated Kim the way he most likely actually thinks he deserves,, you would called him an idiot for that. What do you think works working with insane tyrants? Telling them how much you hate their guts> How wrong they are? Or being nice and trying to coax them into a decent relationship? Actually everybody did better, because at least they didn't reward Kim with the prestige of an American president taking photo opportunities so he could use that for his own propaganda. And the US got absolutely nothing at all in return. Which is exactly what everyone knew would happen.
