There's a large hose that runs from the rocker cover to the air-box (see picture).

I split the end of it a little while trying to unplug it from the engine while removing the chrome cover.. The split is just below the spring clip the holds it. I think it's ok (There's not enough hose to simply cut the end off). Just checking what this hose does so I can decide if I need to replace it. For example is it a breather or does pressure play a role?
