Flashers.
03/28/20 at 11:59:45
I have issues with the flashers, only rear blinks and front stay on but do not flash. It's a S40 2007. They never worked correctly according to the previous owner, ( maybe they are led flashers, can't tell). He crashed and replaced all four with Ebay after market parts. I tought the relay was faulty and bough the 7 pins relay. Can't find no connections with 7 pins on the bike. I can't ear any cliking noise the old relay should make wen blinkers are on. Can't find the blinkers relay! Any advice would help!

The flasher relay is under the right side of the tank. In this photo it's the black box with the white writing on it. It just slips into a mount on the frame and plugs into a connector.

The flasher relay is just two pins. The power runs through it - the handlebar switch decides which side the power goes to......the circuit is not complete until you move the switch left or right.

This one is an easy replacement if you are using LED lights.

The good thing about electronic flasher relays (like the one linked) is they work with LED or halogens - or a mix of both.
