This kit is designed to move the OEM forward not get rid of them but you could probable fine something and change it.

Nice!

As someone who fabricated mid-controls, I think this kit is a great deal.  Sure, you could probably save a few bucks by making your own.  But you'll waste time and money finding the supplies and tools, and by the time you are done you'll end up spending almost as much.

Do you have them premade or are you taking orders?  Do they come with any kind of instructions.  I am sure I could figure it out, but its nice to have a plan B.  How do you handle orders and payments?

for payments I take venom or PayPal

Good Evening, Jody72!

I am very interested in your forward controls.  Are they very easy to install?  I am not a mechanic.  Do you have a video showing the installation?  Do you have a website?  Do they offer adjustments for the forwarded distance?  How much is the cost, right now?  I live at Colorado Springs, CO (zip code 80921)  How do I make the payment, and how long does it take to arrive?  You can send me a PM.

Cordially,

MichaelT

I know that your controls are 4" forwards, but would you be willing to go 6"? I understand if you are not interested.  I am sure you are set up to do the 4" pretty painlessly and getting into custom requests could get to be a nightmare.  Just thought I would ask though. If so, any idea on cost?

I don’t have to much interest in 6” which is why I stuck with 4”. I have talk with someone else that has a 6” set  I might be able to get or see if they are making them. Cost for a 6” set probably would be about $160-170. It’s the start up cost that suck for me. If there were at lest 5 people interested then I think I could start making that size as well.

I am interested, but have a question...
I am 5'10" and made a solo seat on my 08.  But I made the solo to fit right down on the frame and follow the contours.  I left the bends on the frame so that I could install the factory seat back on.  For an idea, its like taking the factory seat off and just sitting on the frame.  When I sit on the bike and put my feet out to where I think it is comfortable, I am resting my heels on top of the brake/gear shift which is right at 4".  But I could still stretch out a little more comfortably.  So I don't know if I would be happy with 4" forwards but didn't know if 6" would be too far forward. I see the 5" option and am thinking this would be a good compromise.

Any advise or insight from anyone?

Maybe I should move this to its own topic.  I don't want to highjack this post, but input here could influence someone's response to Jody's request.

right now all i make is the 4" size. if I had 5 people that would commit to buying a 5" set then i would make them.

I'm 6'2" and have the 4" on mine. probably could go more myself but 4" is way better the then none Wink . it made it so much nicer for me to shift.

basically broke my big toe 3 years ago when a dog ran out and i hit it. i was lucky i did not go down but it bent my gear shifter into a shoe horse shape so shift the rest of that day was back ass words.

So my machinist is going to cut out a sample of a 6”plates and I’m sure they will be fine. So I need 3 to 4 patient people that would like a 6” set to make a purchase right now at only $160 ( they will be $170 or more later).  I should be able to get you your set before December. After I get the plates I have to get some other parts but I won’t know how long I need tell I get the plates on. Please share this post to past the word around. Ramseyjl@hotmail.com

I might be willing to give the the 6" plates a try. I'm 6'2 and for the most part im okay with the current stock set up but i am curious on having more room to spread out. How did the change from stock  to --> 4'' forward feel?
