No Gandhi practiced "ahimsa" AKA non violence. He also would go on hunger strikes and urge people to essentially do "non cooperation" as in don't work. There was no way he could have done an armed conflict with the British. The British were dreaming of having a colony "forever" in India, not possible with killing locals and protesters. They caught a lot of Hell for the "Jalianwala Baag" massacre where 17 protesters were killed, they took decades to recover, but by then the 2nd world war essentially had America forcing England to give up their prized colony, or lose it to Germany along with the rest of England.

Gandhi just made a lot of noise, the world press was watching, and taking up arms was a losing proposition. It took a lot of time, but India shamed the british and America noticed and called them on their hypocrisy LOL like the lefties now, the british wanted it both ways. They were fighting Germany for "freedom" while enslaving 1/3 the world. China and Russia accounted for another 1/2+ at that time when there were just 3 billion people on the planet.

Absolutely not. He didn't die of any problems or of any diseases. He was assasinated well past 70.
Sadly fasting is very very misunderstood. Massive massive health benefits and no down sides till you are well past Gandhi's proportions and well, don't eat a bullet, fasting or not, that Shiite will kill ya.

There is not even a debate any more about this, it claimed the nobel prize in 2016, the cleanest way to cure a bunch of diseases as well as being fat is to simply not eat till you're thin (and true hunger has returned) Its not even that hard past day 5 or so.

Sorry no, or at best inconclusive.
He likely was never attacked physically so take that for what its worth, but he did mean physically - if someone slaps you - you offer the other cheek.
Given that it was Gandhi, I'd interpret it as, if someone slaps your right jaw bone, offer then your left jaw bone - It was literal. Not a metaphor only.

BTW if he was around today, he'd tell Michael Moore … stop eating, you're so fat you would pass for a cow.
