Actually - its not that black and/or brown and/or white LOL.
Illegals and legals are good in fact great for the economy that benefits the stock market and the people invested in it - AKA investors, billionaires who benefit from the cheap labor etc etc. Expanding economy by making more $$$ for companies while spending less. Maybe the companies themselves expand, putting $$$ into some ill thought out projects putting some workers into those and developing crappy sheitete that dies a painful death - think pets.com and webvan of the late 90's.
Lets kick out illegals and choke out easy legal immigration. Here you will nearly cut out all these poorly thought out crap, force companies to be picky and find worthwhile projects and pay citizens a proper living wage. If you've only for $50 you're not gonna get some Mexican to paint and re shingle your house, but you may get the kid down the street to mow you yard. Poorly funded and poorly capitalized and poorly thought out ideas will never get off the ground. Economy shrinks (or doesn't grow as fast) but people see rising wages.
Simple. Now counting the fact that people coming to US or other northern coutry emit 10 to 30X the greenhouse gasses they used to in the tropics, you can see why its an easy argument to make. Keep immigration to cold countries down, both legal and illegal. Its better for the environment, the workers, in some ways the economy and common investors (remember pets.com and webvan cos a lot of investors a lot of $$$)
