@WM, climate change is not a religion. The fundamental difference between science and religion is that religion requires blind belief, and climate change is only fact based, and is also subject to falsification

Temperature predictions have been wrong on the high side. Not once, every time. The current face of your "science" is a little girl who  indignantly asks us heretics  "How dare you!" I think its fair to say she replaced a polar bear floating on a piece of ice. You shut down other scientists who raise questions by linking them to the ever present greatest evil in the world. Satan? No, worse: Big Oil. The Elders of your religion travel the globe telling the unwashed masses to shelter in place, downsize your homes, to wrap up when its cold, sweat when it's hot, and for crying out loud, don't get in your car for a pleasant Sunday drive with the family to see the autumn leaves or neighborhood Christmas lights.

A visitor from another planet who checked in on Earth during the time of Galileo or Martin Luther and again today might be hard pressed to tell the difference between The Catholic Church back then and the overbearing religion of Climate Change today. Instead of poison, it looks like those who deny the faith today will only have to "be put against the wall."

Well Mark
at least the Catholic Church gave us the Universities and the Hospital system.

Galileo big crime was insulting the pope.

Today we have be come the point of hiding under a rock, We got to the moon but now we are as a society silting our wrists. We aborted and birth controlled
to the point we have no future. We have no more family, no children, no future.  Instead of going to the stars we are navel gazing with our iPhones.

What if they are right about climate change? Why are we thinking small, We modified the weather with "Operation Popeye".    Why are we not looking into such things today? No we want to just hid under a rock, ban plastic straws, drive a Prius and die!  Our society has become a bunch of freaking boring nihilists.

Why are we afraid of death?

Its as normal as birth, well.... hopefully, if its convenient.

BTW, its more than a political argument, and the blame and cause, vast....
And like in your reference to the Iphone, that is a HUGE clue....

I am not even disputing the science, I'm just apalled that she's "how dare you"ing the working and poor man. She needs to STFU to people - who have no control over their commute and driving etc etc tha tdoesn't involve 1000's upon 1000's to emit 1% less and start - "How dare you"ing in emails to CEO's and corporate leaders as well as "how dare you"ing politicians and governments to forcing people to work from home in occupations they can and start to unwind the whole commute based infrastructure and "how dare you"ing at immigrants who want to move to tundra from the tropics then start burning stuff t keep warm and moving around.
Her solution is simple theft of the working man with no effect to the co2 production. Electricity is dirtier than gasoline as well as less efficient. And no we're not going to build nuclear reactors, again stupid, again its trading one poison for another and again, its reducing Co2 on the back of the working man while the rich elite make $$$ off this - and sadly at that point it is nothing more than theft under the cover of science.

Cool.
