Does the LS650 use same oil filter as the DR650?

It looks like both the DR650 and the LS650 use the same HiFlo and K&N oil filter: #137. Is this true?

Suzuki oil filter Part Number 16510-37450 fits DR600 03-04, DR650 01-11, LS650, S40. That doesn't guarantee that the K&N or HiFlo will also fit, but it looks like they should.

HiFlo #137 works fine in the savage.

Just make sure you put the filter in correctly or you will see a grown man cry.

Gotcha!
There is a small rubber o ring that attaches to the end of the filter that fits on the bike. Some filters come with this o ring some do not.
It is possible that the o ring can get lost if you are not aware of it, and if the new one does not come with an o ring you may have it installed without it.
This happened to me, it did not cause any problems but it is something to watch out for.
