catalytic heat

My catalytic Dyna muffler has developed a bright blue band around it where the catalyst is placed in the last 1000kms
The bike has been rejetted to 150 main  and runs the original 52.5 pilot jet the spacer has been reduced to about 3/4
It runs well no backfiring  and has had this muffler and rejetting  fitted 5000 kms ago
I am at close to sea level
Is this normal? Cannot upload photo for some reason

Yep....normal.

The catalyst traps some heat, and it makes the chrome blue.

Don't worry about it.

Mine gets so hot that it can be seen at night glowing orange.

But it's inside de exhaust,  the chrome outside is perfectly fine
