Hey Web.......

Who, or what, is pulling the democrats to the left?

You saw the 9161 inaugural speech of Kennedy's, I posted, even Bill Clinton would be a conservative, by today's left bent of the party....

We saw how Obama won historically, denying Hillary her real opportunity to be the first woman president....
Then to lose all that majority he brought with him to power, at his very first mid-term.....

That does not make sense.....???

Obama wasn't suppose to be, in the scope of what some master plan/scheme was crafted....

Now, as Jill Stein shares, and I thought this all along, if you go back and see how CNN especially, promoted Trump with puff pieces, etc....

Former Green Party presidential nominee Jill Stein sharply responded to Hillary Clinton's claim she is a Russian asset.

Stein called the allegation "unhinged" and said it was meant to be a distraction from real reasons for why Clinton lost to President Trump, Stein claimed Monday on "Tucker Carlson Tonight."

"Clearly this is a ludicrous, unhinged conspiracy theory with no basis in fact, which is intended to distract from the many reasons that the Democrats lost the 2016 election -- including that they neglected Wisconsin, that they elevated Donald Trump as part of the 'Pied Piper program' to get a beatable candidate for Hillary to run against," she said.

"Hillary ran as kind of the symbol of the power structure in America -- the economic and political elite."

The Clinton DNC, etc, were the ones who screwed with the election, and they were not going to allow Bernie to Obama them....again.

How Bernie holds his just anger, I am not sure.....???

Anyway, who, or what is the power behind Clinton......???

I do not think it was a concerted coup that was really in the works, to begin with, just a lot of political posturing and maneuvering, as these career folks thought to align themselves with that Clinton power structure, which of course we now know backfired....

Do you think the real power is George Soros, and in a sense, he is playing Hillary too?

He is the real Russian agent...with all that funding, etc....????

I don't think anyone is a Russian agent / asset whatever language you want to use.

I think all major national political figures act in their own best interest 99% of the time. On occasional, their interests intersect with the nation's best interest and something valuable occurs. That's rare, but it has occurred often enough to leave our nation as the top dog on this planet, at least for the time being.

What's pulling the Democrats further into an abyss is Trump's victory in 2016 and their failure thus far in undoing that. I remember typing on here and saying in other places that I ultimately decided on Trump because I wanted to go ahead and pull the curtain back; to start a culture war. And that's what we have. Wars force people to do things they would never do otherwise. So that's what we see now. Formerly sensible Democrats are willing to sacrifice the nation to Socialism because they believe that will ultimately destroy Trump. So they launch and attack, we launch back and so on....

Like most wars, they'll never end until one side is clearly and decisively defeated.

Wow- Mark was honest for a moment.   He has no interest in a civil Union in which folks of differing positions collaborate on a shared course.   He wants war.   This is the recourse of sociopaths that are impotent to move folks with their ideas- powerless, they practice social arson, hope that reaction to the fire will mask their failures.

No such luck, Mark- you aren't sufficiently self possessed to mask your rotten core.

Ah, yes- that favorite recourse of the antisemite: blaming all of their failures on a Jew.   Here Ray ties himself into a mental pretzel to suppose a conspiracy in which Soros has really been fooling us all this time with his very public political activism- 'it was all an elaborate, very expensive double-fake, see?'

Purveyors of antisemitism don't put much of any effort into sounding reasonable- their target audience isn't bright enough to care one way or the other.

As usual- as is your want -running in the exact opposite direction of substance; with all on display here, your focus is a typo.   You should be ashamed- but have demonstrated no such capacity.

Thanks Web....yes, we hear lots about "cultural wars".....maybe a wee bit too dramatic, but of course it makes good news fodder.

I think the novelty about American, it has no historical track record, nor any real "side lines" where the game is to be played, and that makes it unique, ever changing, and not limited by boundaries.....

Any idea as to why Obama lost so much, after having gained so much, in only 2 years?
I just can't seem to find any real explanation that he went from a extreme honeymoon high, to a devastating divorce, so quickly....  Shocked

It wasn't due to widespread media and entertainment culture criticism, their infatuation level of protection increased if anything. Plus remember who he was up against in the Democratic primary, Hilary. Had another challenger been around with more standing than Biden or Edwards, Obama would still be a Senator. Plus look at the "Republicans" he ran against, Romney and McCain. But he won so give him all credit for that.

Once at the top however, an empty suit is hard to hide.

Reminds me of the sick crow.
A weak (ineffective) crow was hopping around the cow yard.
The Bull said: “Peck away at some of my $hit, their are pieces of corn it it.”
The weak, (unproductive) crow, got stronger and stronger.
Soon, strong enough to fly to the top of the tree.
Where the Farmer promptly Shot him.

Moral of the Story:
Bull $hit can get you to the top,
Yet it does not keep you their.

LOVE IT!!!!!   Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Lots of corn peckers round this place  Wink

Web, even with bias and unmitigated press against Obama, which wasn't present to any great degree, no way could he lose that support so quickly....I just don't see folk giving up on "hope and change" that fast....
