Lowering the front ,with the stock rear will open you up to some really bad front peg scraping!( worse than stock) Serowbot and I are on the same page when it comes to this , Ryca cafes gets away with this only because of the mid controls, you're much better off replacing the rear shocks with ones an inch or two longer , either way you go reduces wheel base and steering neck angle making the bike turn in a bit faster, but lowering the front forks on a stock bike isn't the way to go ,you'll lose ground clearance under the pegs ,just where you need it most.
